Whats VJing all about? A brief overview of VJ performance techniques
and the history of the VJ.
11.00am – 12.30pm: VJ GEAR
Tutors: LOTECH aka James Leonard & Simon Barker, C6 aka Tobias Lee and Tom Black aka Campbell Farquhar
An in-depth workshop on producing video material and video loops and sourcing clips, and an overview of mixing using a variety of sources eg – DVD, VHS and live computers. Hands-on software demonstrations include Motion Dive, Grid and the PC “Killer App” Resolume. Featured in this workshop is an exploration of the new Edirol Video Mixer, the V4.

Tutor: Rob Zohrab from Hinge Design
An intensive special effects workshop. Using Cinema 4D ( showing a
basic flythrough geometric shapes using a small camera lense 2mm )
Compositing in After Effects, adding effects using Combustion, and
outputting to a format for either playback in Final Cut, Grid or on DV

present a seminar on streaming web media for audio and video.

Saturday 6th December 03. $5VJs team up with audio artists to create an immersive multi projected video environment then its the VJ JAM – where its an open play and all are welcome to bring their video tapes and laptops and enter the arena….
