Tiger Beer presents Tiger Translate – a mash-up of music and art, as East meets West right here in Auckland.

Music: DJKkentaro (Japan), Muscles (Live) (Melbourne), The Naked & Famous, An Emerald City,The Drab Doo Riffs, A.D.A.M, Stinky Jim, The Turnaround vs. The Hit It & Quit It Revue, Homebrew, The North Shore Pony Club, Nick D and Boomio Sound.

Artists: Cut Collective, Cherry Sprinkles, Fuman, Submariner, Askew One, Berst, Qubic Store and ‘The Busy Nice’.

Top VJs Dub Module, The Analog Club, TommeeTelleeVision, geeyouwhy? & Quango and Lotech are also set to wash the venue in holographic and multi-media displays. DJ Kentaro will be bringing his own VJ.

Tiger Translate was a concept established in 2005, and fuses music, art and interactive entertainment.

Tiger Translate exhibitions have been held in major cities around the world including New York, Copenhagen, Beijing, Bangkok and Berlin.

Our favourite festival is back! After a fantastic event in 2008 we’ll really happy to be back involved with next years event. The line up is looking great with acts including – Lupe Fiasco, Basement Jaxx, Jamie Lidell, Spektrum, Mystro, Sola Rosa and true NZ video pioneers Pitch Black.

Another year, another Big Day Out. An interesting mix of old and new. TV on the Radio should be awesome.
Expect a big camera mix in the Boiler Room this year with lotech mixing till 5.30 then Ariki Spooner is taking over the cut through the evening.  VJ groupies stress not though, there will be special apperances from the likes of DurtyMac, music video extroidanaire Chris White and the master of cardboard puppetry Kim Newall thoughout the day.

Monthly Intersect coming to Wellington

The Moving Image Centre, along with the Film Archive are proud to be extending their Monthly Short Fuse and Intersect nights to the capital. The new, once a month event will showcase short films by emerging film makers from around Aotearoa and around the worl. The evening will be followed by an open deck VJ session host by d-Nation.

Interdigitate represents an outstanding opportunity to exhibit new media work and live performance at the highest level within New Zealand. Interdigitate features specially commissioned work by New Zealand’s leading audio visual artists. Designed to take place over three consecutive weekends, this years programme is laced with art practioners across a multitude of disciplines.
The Moving Image Centre sees Interdigitate as an essential part of it’s annual programme. The artists we have selected reflect and share an artistic vision of screen based work that is at the cutting edge of new media art, installation and performance.
